Leben appeared to the Dasi, and they knelt in misguided worship.
Maeve leaned against the creature, whispering in his ear with a smile, as Kiesha watched from the lonely darkness. The priestess of Anhamirak hid her tears.
Maeve wept as she was wrapped in the arms of the Nesera'rsh. She had done what she needed to protect her people, but she had lost...everything. Everything that mattered to her. Without her, the balance ruptured, and the Dasi began to crumble.
Cjarsa, falcon priestess of Ahnmik, watched the first of her disciples fall to Ecl. Leben had given them wings, and he had given them madness. One was not worth the other. This had to be stopped.
Kiesha shrieked as magic that should had called rain for the crops brought lightning and deluge. She cradled a drowned infant in her arms. Her people were dying, and everything she did to try to help them only made it worse.
Araceli and Brassal, the priest of Namid, struggled; Araceli's daughter was caught in the middle, and at the end she was limp and cold. Brassal backed out of the room with his hands held in front of him; he stared at them as if they were alien growths instead of his own flesh.
The Dasi's altars were scorched, frozen, shattered-only ruin left behind-and their priests and priestesses struggled against the magic that cut their bodies and souls. They cursed Maeve, who had enticed Leben into giving them these "gifts," the magic of their second forms. When people began to die, the new serpents blamed the falcons-those who worshipped death, sacrificed to it. Magic and blades and fire and blood...so much blood, soaking the red sand.

True History (Part One)
These are parts taken from Wyvernhail, the reason is not for profit or gain, but because understanding it can help understand Children of Destiny. This is the group that messed up, this is the group whose mistakes Celi has to correct.
~~~~~
Kiesha, the cobra high priestess of Anhamirak, stood in the doorway to her temple, holding her head high despite her obvious exhaustion. Cjarsa remembered this woman as having mahogany air, sun-touched skin and brown eyes, but Anhamirak's fire had dyed Kiesha'ra body as surely as Ahnmik's ice had dyed Cjarsa's. Kiesha'ra warm earthern eyes had become lakes of blood, and they were no long kind but eerily piercing as she beheld Cjarsa, whose power once had been the opposite-the balance-of hers.
Many things had changed since Maeve had abandoned their coven. Once, they had been the protectors and leaders of their people, priests and priestesses of the eight great powers, led by Maeve and kept in balance by her guidance. Now the powers were unbalanced.
The stain left on Kiesha's hair and eyes was nothing compared to the terror of the uncontrollable magics that had ripped through each of the Dasi in Maeve's absence. The serpents had blamed the falcons for the first assaults, saying that their worship of death and darkness had led to this destruction; Cjarsa's followers had retaliated, spitting their own accusations against the chaos-worshippers.
"You say you wish to end this," the cobra said to Cjarsa and Araceli in greeting. "Before more lives are lost," Araceli said.
They had been fighting for years. What else could they do? Anhamirak's domain was wildfire and war. As long as her magic was left unbalanced, there could never be peace.
"Yes," Cjarsa whispered. She had seen the future, seen the final fire that would consume them all. She knew that this had to stopped. "Come forward, child," she said.
When Alasdair stepped out from behind Araceli and held up a curious hand, Kiesha knelt down and let the tiny fingers wrap around her thumb. "Yours?" she asked Araceli, her expression softening.
"No," Araceli said, blinking back tears. "Brassal killed my daughter last night. Odd that it would be a priest of Namid, giver of life, who would destroy a child."
The python had crept into Ahnmik's temple, probably hoping to kill Cjarsa. Instead, he had found Araceli and her young daughter. Araceli was convinced that he had killed the child intentionally; Cjarsa believed it had been an accident. Like all their powers, Brassal's magic had grown beyond his ability to control it.
"Now," Cjarsa whispered, throwing out her own magic like a net. Araceli, Syfka, Servos and Cjarsa had spent the past three years concoting this spell, and now it drove Kiesha to her knees. The cobra screamed.
And the child screamed as well.
Oh, gods...hearing that scream, Cjarsa wanted to leave this world. The spell the falcons had created shredded Kiesha's magic, tearing it into two. One half of Anhamirak's power remained in the cobra; the other half burned its way into the child's soul. As it has painted Kiesha garnet, so it stained the child, darkening her white-blonde hair and pale blue eyes to the color of beaten gold.
It was too late to bring back the balance, and no one could control Anhamirak's chaos, but they hoped that this would cripple the serpents' magic before it could destroy even more.
Araceli was the one who took the little girl's tiny hands in her own and whispered gently, "Now you'll be able to fly, like we can." "Don't be kind," Cjarsa said. "If you are kind, we will never be able to do what must be done."
"Come, Alasdair," Araceli said, taking the young hawk's hand before Kiesha could recover and realize what they had done. "You have much to learn before we take you back to your people."
Brief History
___
Back in the days when Egypt was still young and the pyramids were being built by slaves' blood and tears, there was a group of human priests and priestesses that worshiped the eight great powers. These worshipers were called the Dasi. The Dasi was lead by a woman named Maeve. Below Maeve was two women named Kiesha and Cjarsa. Maeve and Kiesha were pair bonds, lovers. Maeve and Cjarsa worshiped Ahnmik, and Kiesha worshiped Ahnamirak. Ahnmik and Ahnamirak were there when time began, they are sister essences, both kin of Ecl. Ahnmik and Ahnamirak both consisted of two oposite sides; Ahnmik's main side was of cold, darkness, quite, calm, rest, ect. Ahnamirak's main side was of free will and passion, love and lust, of life. Her other side though, was of war and bloodshed, chaos, tornados and mayhem. Ahnmik's other side was of death and emptiness. The other ten Dasi members worshiped other gods and goddesses. Below the Dasi was the two Rsh groups, who communicated with the people, then to the Dasi, and the Dasi conveyed the concern and thoughts to the eight powers. Everyone was heard and no one was left out. Everything was good. Then the creature by the name of Leben came along, and told the Dasi and their people to bow down to him, for he was a god. Maeve, though, was not convinced. She was clever. She could see that Leben, though powerful, was not a god. Instead of outright denying him though, she seduced him, and, to gain her favor, he gave her "ageless beauty and the second form of a white viper." She also convinced him into giving all of her followers second forms too. Kiesha was given the form of a black king cobra, and seven other followers were also given serpent forms. The last four were given forms of falcons. Cjarsa was given the form of the gyrfalcon, her daughter, Lady Araceli, was given the form of a peregrine falcon, Lady Syfka, the apolomado, and Servos was given the merlin. Leben was not mentioned in record after this. Kiesha, not knowing of her pair bond's plans, felt betrayed. To spite her ex-lover, she had a child with a human man and the cobra-child was named Diente.
Maeve was heartbroken, and the falcons offered her the painless Ecl. The Ecl is described as, "the night on ice," "the void," It is nothing and it is everything. It is all that never was and never will be. It is emptiness. Those who fall into the Ecl are described as neither awake nor asleep, nor alive nor dead. There is no color, life, sound, or smell in the Ecl. It is the eternal dreamland. Ecl can be used as an escape from one's life, and offers comfort and rest to the heartbroken. Maeve accepted the Ecl's peace; then was accused of black magic and exiled. The Rsh and Maeve left the Dasi's land and went to live just outside their borders. They became the Obsidian Guild, the exiled white viper clan. With Maeve gone, the power was unbalanced. dances that meant to bring rain brought floods, one touch from the priest of Brysh, the maker of life, could kill. This chaos was short lived. The falcons were exiled soon after Maeve, and went and built the island of Ahnmik. Cjarsa rose the land out of the water, and the falcons colonized it. It is called the "White City." The serpiente lived peacefully--until the Cjarsa, who had used the sakkari'a'she, the dance of the future, to ask Ecl to show her the future, and saw that, with Kiesha's magic unbalanced, chaos ruled. The power of Ahnamirak, unbalanced, was out of control. The power inside of her would not rest until the whole world was in ashes. So the falcons decided, regretfully, that something had to be done. They raised a human child, and taught her their ways, and made her an empire of Avian shifters that she would someday rule. They named her Alasdair, meaning "protector." They ripped Kiesha's magic in half and shoved half of it into Alasdair. Ahnmik's magic had stained the falcons and Maeve. Maeve's hair was paled to an unearthly white, the same color as the viper's scales. Ahnmik's power had dyed the falcons' skin milky pale, and their hair different shades of goldeny, transparent-like white with indigo/blue strands in the front. Ahnamirak's magic had stained Kiesha's body, making her skin fair, her warm brown hair jet black, and her eyes blood red. Alasdai was no exception to this stain. Her hair and eyes were changed to a shade of a beaten gold. Her skin was olive-fair. She was given the form of a golden hawk. Once she was old enough, she was named queen of the avians. She had a daughter, and her physical features were passed on. Then, the falcons had Kiesha stab her in the back, against her will. The avians retaliated swiftly, killing all of the origional serpiente Dasi members--including innocent Kiesha. Maeve's cause of death was never officially recorded, but she also died. The avians and serpiente have been at war for a millennia. They have forgoten the reason why they fight, and now their only reason is to avenge their fallen kin. This is where book one, Hawksong, picks up. The young princess Danica is about to take the avian throne as Tuuli Thea (their name for their Hawk Queen), and dreams of peace.
Children of Destiny Cast
Celi Shardae Cobriana Silvermead: Wyvern (Falcon x Hawk x Cobra)
Parents: Nicias Silvermead and Oliza Shardae Cobriana
Appearance: Celi is slender and really is a balance of her parents. Her hair is long and black and blonde with the front being ice-blue. Her eyes are gold. On her nap, her feathers are blue-gray, gold, and red.
~~~~
Quemak'la'Keyi: Falcon (Peregrine x Gyrfalcon)
Parents: two unknown falcons (deceased), Hai and Lillian (adopted)
Appearance: Keyi defines "falcon fair" well. Her skin is very milk pale (almost ghost like). Her hair is a pale dusky white-blonde with the front being blue (not light, just regular blue). Her eyes are unusual as they're solid pale gray.
Personality: Keyi is quiet and very shy. Mainly this is because her parents fear that she will be taken by the Mercy. And Keyi fears the Mercy because of the death of her parents. Keyi knows that she is different and that she is a quemak. As she spends more time in Ecl, the falcon starts having that 'detached' feel that is seen on Hai and Cjarsa.
As mentioned above, Keyi's first memory is of her parents' murder by the Mercy. Lillian, oddly feels drawn to the child and saved her. Using Darien, the two falcons smuggled the quemak off the White City and thus she lives in Wyvern's Court with Hai and Lillian. For most of her childhood, Keyi is plagued by nightmares but she finds comfort in playing with butterflies but also in Ecl which may end up being her downfall.
~~~~
Zenle Shardae 'Cobriana' (Part of the title, but he doesn't use it): Black Hawk (with cobra blood)
Parents: Salem Cobriana and Sive Shardae
~~~~
Lulu Kejamarl
Parents: Marus's sister and Sparrow (deceased), Marus and Urban (adopted)
~~~~
Aleya 'Shardae' Cobriana: Cobra (with Hawk blood)
Parents: Salem Cobriana and Sive Shardae
~~~~
Bianca Frektane Obsidian: Kirin (Wolf x White Viper)
Parents: Vere Obsidian and Betia Frektane
Appearance: Bianca has a lean, but robust build and has dark skin (from her wolf side). Her hair is creamy white. Her eyes are hazel(blending her father's green with her mom's brown).
Personality: Bianca is very self-conscience about her animal form. She knows as soon as she is old enough to understand, that she is not normal. She can see the purebred white vipers and treks into the forest reveals purebred wolves. Before she thinks so lowly of herself, Bianca is slightly withdrawn because she feels everyone will judge her. All her friends end up being outside the Guild, but she is caring, loyal, and seems to understand immediately.
-----------
Tabassum Mistari: Liger (Lion x Tiger)
Parents: Tavisan and Tigress
Appearance: thought we don't get a clear description, Tabassum can be described as tall with caramel-skin. He has honey-brown hair (from his mom who is a Caspian tiger) and his eyes are yellow-orange.
Personality: Tabassum commonly wears a neutral expression though he's rather a guy of few words. He mainly observes but is surprisingly quick and nimble and very loyal which helps him enter training for the wyvern guard.
Tabassum is the oldest son of Tavisan (most likely he later has more children) and is a Liger. He is given to Wyvern's Court as a 'gift' to smooth things out. For a long time he's the odd man out, but quickly befriends Celi, then Bianca and Veli, the others tend to warm up to him later on and Keyi kind of watches from afar. Later he ends up becoming the main point of interest between two girls.

Hai's Vision
Note: this scene is taken from Wyvernhail. It is when the mongrel Hai uses her powers to look into the future and sees this. To me I shaped it into not being too far, in fact it is very close, involving the grandchildren.
Ikuseghan stood in the courtyard of Wyvern's Court, her eyes fixed on a woman who walked until she stood before her. The woman had fair skin and long golden hair, her eyes were deep garnet that peered deeply into the golden gaze of the hawk. The cobra began to laugh. "You look like you saw a ghost!" she teased and hugged her friend who began weeping. "I...I thought you were dead...the birth was hard I heard." Zanouche winced. "It was, almost killed us. But we were blessed to survive, my son and I." The two girls just stood there, smiling at each other before the babbles of an infant made them look down. They then knelt beside the baby who was resting in a basket at the Tuuli Thea's feet. "This is Lunah," Ikuseghan whispered even though the child was awake and peering up at her mother with identical gold eyes. The only difference between mother and daughter was that the toddler had white-blonde hair. Her hair color was from her father, a white viper, who stood nearby, his pale green eyes sparkling and a gentle smile on his lips as he watched the two girls. One almost could not believe that one could shift into a black hawk and the other a golden cobra. Zanouche carefully picked the baby up, holding her close and gazing at the sleepy face. "Is she?" the Diente questioned the little one's parents. Ikuseghan shook her head. "No, she is not a wyvern. She is a full hawk," she replied. A call suddenly drew their heads to the sky. A long form slashed through the sky as the Wyvern Queen flew, her wings flapping gently. Carefully balancing the child, Zanouche waved as did the Tuuli Thea and her Allister. Celi let out another shrill cry that echoed across the planes of Wyvern's Court. Once a land of uncertainty, it was now the place of peace, love, and balance. Celi, the wyvern who could had destroyed their world...had saved it.

Overview
This blog is dedicated to works or the series Kiesha'ra written by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. The series involves shapeshifters of the same group that had to overcome much since they were divided by a civil war. To me, the books did not end correctly and thus I have set to work making it how I felt it should had ended. Most of the things are from the books, but I twist ideas to make them fit. The things found here are usually from my Children of Destiny story or other things. I am not doing this for profit or anything, only making my point of how the books should had ended.
